Think you need adapters for the 2003+ seats. So the LX and Grand Marquis seats should fit.

Not sure, but go for Mercury/Lincoln seats if you can. That’s assuming they’re actually any different, anyway.

Yep. You can bolt Town Car seats into your bare bones Crown Vic P71, and plug in all the power gizmos because every car is wired for them.

All seats fit physically, but you will have problems electronically with certain combinations, especially regarding side air bags. Typically the driver’s side is always wired regardless of seat, but the passenger side is a different story.

This isn’t 100% true, due to safety systems and passenger side wiring.

Physically, I think any panther seats from about ‘94 up will fit. To get it to place nice electrically, though, you’d want ‘02 and older. I think. I’m not super-familiar with interior bits.

Yes, I believe you are correct on that, since at some point, probably ‘03, the seat adjustments move to the door panel. I don’t want to take that on...

I’d like to use maybe a set of LX seats, but I want to flip the car, so I’m taking a more-or-less minimalist approach. But what seats do buyers want when they buy an old P71?

Electrical adapters? The controls move to the door panel in ‘03, I think, and that’s too much complexity for my liking, making that conversion.

I’ve heard something along those lines, I’d say go for age appropriate seats to avoid fucky stuff.
